Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 August 2026

This policy is written in plain English so it's actually useful to read. It has not been reviewed by a solicitor — if you have any doubts about how your data is handled, please contact Jen directly using the details below.

Jen Brockwell Ltd ("I", "me", "my") is the data controller for jenbrockwell.com and the coaching services I provide. This policy explains what personal data I collect, why, and what rights you have over it.

What Data I Collect

Depending on how you interact with me, I may collect:

Why I Collect It

I do not use your data for anything beyond delivering the coaching service you've signed up for. I don't sell your data, and I don't pass it to third parties for marketing purposes.

Who I Share Data With

I use a small number of trusted third-party services to run my business. Each only receives the data it needs to do its job:

None of these providers are permitted to use your data for their own purposes beyond providing their service to me. Calendly, Stripe, and Otter.ai are based outside the UK/EEA (primarily the US), so your data may be transferred and stored there. Each of these providers maintains its own GDPR-compliant safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for this — see their own privacy policies for detail.

Legal Basis for Processing

I process your data under the following lawful bases: contract (to deliver a service you've booked or paid for), consent (for anything optional, such as call recording), and legitimate interest (for example, keeping basic records of enquiries so I can follow up).

How Long I Keep Your Data

I keep client data for as long as you're an active client, plus a reasonable period afterward for legitimate business and legal purposes (such as accounting records, which UK law requires me to keep for 6 years). If you're not a client — for example, you booked a Discovery Call but didn't go ahead — I'll delete your details within 12 months if we haven't stayed in touch.

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, just email me — see contact details below.
